Media Advisory - Military amputees receive new mobility devices

OTTAWA, Nov. 3 /CNW/ - Media are invited to attend the presentation of Segway personal transporters to seven Canadian soldiers wounded overseas. These were donated through a pilot project arranged by Mrs. Leslie Natynczyk, the Canadian Forces' Champion for Morale and Welfare programs.

Also at this event, Mr. David Sacks, the President of Iceberg Vodka, will present a cheque for the proceeds from their 2008 "Remember Our Heroes" charitable campaign which helped raise the money used for the donation of the Segways.

This event will also be attended by the Canadian Forces' Chief of the Defence Staff General Walt Natynczyk.

Wounded Warriors.ca is an independent not-for-profit charity that supports Canadian soldiers who are wounded overseas. It is primarily a fundraising mechanism that supports existing programs that tend to injured soldiers and is a registered charity with the Canada Revenue Agency and associated with Canadahelps.org.
