Technicoil Corporation is a Calgary-based oil and gas services company that successfully positions itself to service the most active areas in the Western Canadian Sedimentary Basin (“WCSB”). Technicoil's business is conducted through two divisions: Well Servicing and Drilling. The Well Servicing division is comprised of 18 coiled tubing rigs and nine mobile free-standing conventional service rigs. The Drilling division is comprised of six hybrid rigs.
Technicoil's modern fleet of coiled tubing units is capable of a broad array of services beyond traditional fracturing through coil applications. These expanded services include “rigless” completion activities such as perforating, composite plug sets and drill-outs in the resource plays of the WCSB. Technicoil also successfully deploys the coiled tubing service rigs in Steam Assisted Gravity Drainage operations in the Fort McMurray region of Alberta . Complementing the coiled tubing rigs is a modern fleet of nine mobile free-standing conventional rigs providing services such as completions, production work, workovers and abandonments.
Technicoil's hybrid drilling rigs are capable of drilling with both jointed pipe or coiled tubing. The majority of activity for these rigs is shallow gas and coalbed methane wells, heavy oil wells, oilsands coring.
