From the Streets to the Stars - Montreal chefs join forces to help street kids

MONTREAL, Sept. 22 /CNW Telbec/ - Ten of Montreal's top chefs are joining
forces to help street kids for the 5th edition of From the Streets to the
Stars, a benefit for Dans la rue. Inspired by the famous hotdogs handed out
every evening by Dans la rue's Van, chefs from Bice, Bronte, Chez L'Epicier,
Ferreira, Garçon, Garde-Manger, Jolifou, Laurie-Raphael and Pinxto will be
serving up their own Haute street cuisine.
Father Emmett "Pops" Johns, founder of Dans la rue, invites journalists
to attend this gourmet benefit event that will take place on September 24 at
6 p.m., at the Société des Arts technologiques (SAT), 1195 St. Laurent Blvd.
Tickets for the event are available for the general public at a cost of
$95, by calling 514-526-5222 or at the door on the evening of the event.

Founded in 1988, Dans la rue is a community organization that works with
Montreal street kids at risk. Through its many services, young people can find
refuge and thrive in an environment of respect, friendship and dedication.
