Media Advisory - Canada's municipal leaders to convene in Ottawa November 18-21, 2009

    Meeting of the National Board of Directors of the Federation of Canadian
    Municipalities (FCM)

OTTAWA, Nov. 17 /CNW Telbec/ - More than 100 municipal leaders and observers from across the country will meet to set a range of priorities important to Canadians when the National Board of Directors of the Federation of Canadian Municipalities (FCM) convenes in Ottawa from November 18-21.

FCM's Board will be discussing the importance of maintaining investments in cities and communities as Canada emerges from the global recession. As well FCM's board will discuss long-term priorities in the areas of municipal infrastructure, public transit, affordable housing, protecting the environment, and strengthening rural communities.
